Carpentry Grade 9: In this course, students will develop a solid understanding of basic carpentry principles, practices, and procedures necessary to properly and safely use and care for hand tools. Students will learn to safely use stationery power equipment and how to complete a drawing using different scales for each project. Students will also acquire basic math skills by determining the amount of material used for each project.

Students will also construct different types of doors with different types of stiles and rails; raised panel and flat panel doors; and drawers. Students will also build a ranch house to one inch scale that will include sill plates; girder; joist; walls; and ceiling and roof framing.
